Quinault Rain Forest, WA

Yesterday Mary and I spent a delightful day in the Quinault Rain Forest which is in the Southwest corner of the Olympic National Park which is in the Northwest corner of the State of Washington. Got it? I’m sorry..I’m an Ex-Engineer and I just can’t help it! Also the Rain Forest receives more than 12 feet of rain per year and we caught it on a mostly sunny day with temperatures in the low 60’s.

We drove the 31 mile Quinault Rain Forest Loop Drive starting on the North Shore Rd and crossing the bridge over the Quinault River to the South Shore Road back to Highway 101. The entire drive including stops took about four hours. The below photo shows you the big picture.
