A successful test drive…

Yesterday Mary drove her car for the first time in eight weeks. Only the day before she took off the sling she has been wearing since her left arm rotator cuff surgery on March 3rd. She drove to downtown Murphys to the bank and grocery store about 2 miles away. I went along “just in case”. She did just great and handled her chores without a problem. She’s been feeling a little guilty about depending on me to drive her places for the past eight weeks. It made her feel a lot better to know she can now go on her own, at least locally. She did acknowledge that she wasn’t ready for the Interstate Highways, for now….that will come soon enough!

It made Mary very happy to be able to drive once again. Just one more positive step in her recovery.

    Thank you

  2. I usually do one blog entry a day. Being a traveler for so many years I have lots of material to fall back on.

I like to think of myself as the master of the five minute blog. Usually short dialogue, one photo and a link to my Picasa site which now contains 120 albums. Take a look at:

The only time I don’t post a blog entry is if I cannot locate an Internet WiFi signal while I’m traveling.
