You seldom see one of these anymore…

A genuine cobbler shop!

A genuine old-fashioned cobbler shop.

Last Thursday Mary had to return to Sonora to meet with her tax man among other things. One of those things was to drop off her sandals to be repaired. Rick’s Cobbler Shop at 20 W.Bradford St has been in the same location for 37 years and it’s loaded with old-time artifacts. The owner Eric (Rick) Hanson started in the shoe repair business in 1962. If you’re ever in Sonora, checkout his shop. It’s a step back into the past and worth your time to visit.
