More Lake Atitlan

From my book…”08/23- (Day 235) At Panajachel. 6 AM temperature was 67 degrees. In preparation for our planned departure tomorrow morning, we gathered our laundry and drove it to a laundry service. Afterwards, Bob and I drove the Bronco up the old road to a mountain overlook and were rewarded with a spectacular 180-degree view of the lake, at an elevation of about 2,000 feet above the lake. What a grand view! It may be the best of the entire trip! Back in time for lunch, some reading, and a siesta. Happy hour and meal at the Sunset Cafe overlooking the lake topped off the day. The afternoon high temperature was 89 degrees in the shade, with a delightful breeze off of the lake.”

This view is about 1/6th of Lake Atitlan, as seen from the roof of my motorhome. The North end of the lake.

Now visualize 4 more photographs in between these two and you’ll have a feel for the grandeur of Lake Atitlan!
